A father and son, aged 64 and 33, who were infected by covid19, are intubated in the intensive care unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.
According to the General Manager of the Famagusta Hospital Amalia Hatzigianni, father and son were initially treated at the Reference Hospital and then it was deemed necessary to transport them to the Nicosia Hospital.
At the same time, Ms. Hatzigianni stated that 23 patients are currently being treated at the Reference Hospital, while five are in the intensive care unit.
The oldest patient being treated is 92 years old and the youngest is 43 years old, while the median age is 63 years. 80% of patients are unvaccinated.
In addition, the Famagusta Hospital operates normally with a certain number of patients currently.
