The awarding of the "Athinorama Golden Caps of Cyprus 2022" culinary awards, co-organized by Phileleftheros and Athinorama magazine, took place on Wednesday evening at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol.
An award in the "Cypriot Cuisine" category was won by the Kamasias tavern in Paralimni as part of the "Golden Caps" Cyprus 2022.
In total, the awards were 25, which demonstrates the international standard of work performed by the tasters of the awards committee. Specifically, 4 restaurants were awarded with the top distinction of the Golden Cap, 12 restaurants were awarded with the Top Notch distinction and 8 restaurants and taverns were awarded with the Cypriot Cuisine award. In addition, a restaurant received the One to Watch award, which has been established since this year, with the aim of focusing every year on a new restaurant that attempts an innovative proposal.
We remind you that the Golden Caps tasting committee of "Athinorama" magazine, which has been recognized for many years and is staffed with professional tasters and experienced, technically qualified restaurant critics, had started their culinary safari in Cyprus at the beginning of the summer, a process that lasted until the autumn and which led them from one end of the island to the other, recording in meticulous detail the evolution of the Cypriot restaurant scene, evaluating and rating all the restaurants of the island with international criteria and particular rigor.
The results of this process were announced during the glittering dinner de gala ceremony by Hector Botrini, and they are as follows.
