The 7th Cyprus Bar Show was held with great success on Saturday 11/3 and Sunday 12/3 at the Laxia Palace Protaras Banquet Hall!
The Cyprus Bartenders Union organized the 7th Cyprus Bar Show at the level of World Competitions, which was under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the Municipality of Paralimni, and which was attended by exhibitors who presented their products, while Bartenders and industry professionals took part in many seminars and competitions, with different thematic goals, in a two-day event with intense interest, full of professionals and not only bartenders, but also interested parties in the industry!
The Bartenders were energetically present on both days, to get to know the new proposals, as they participated in the presentations and competitions.
At the same time, leading mixologists, bar managers, ambassadors and representatives of major brands in the alcoholic beverages industry, both from Cyprus and abroad, through specialized presentations in total 8 seminars & Masterclasses, made targeted recommendations, analyzed the new trends of bartending, and gave solutions and advice to entrepreneurs, while they also exchanged views on the future of the industry.
Notable presence at the event was the Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis and the Inspection Officer of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism Mrs. Elina Christofidou who enthusiastically embraced the event.
Maria Varda, a member of the Cyprus Bartenders Union, won a Pan-Cypriot distinction by participating in the final of the Shaker Battle in the signature cocktail category. The First Place that leads to Italy and the 70th World Championship in November 2023 where he will represent Cyprus and the Cypriot Bartenders Association. Konstantinos Andreou took second place.
Cyprus Cocktail Championship with cash prizes worth 500 euros went to the first winners:
1. 1st Winner Sofocles Charitos
2. 2nd Winner Antria Hajioannou
3. 3rd Winner Sokratis Zitnik
Also, the first winner of the Cypriot Cocktail will accompany the mission of the Ministry of Tourism to the National Geographic Food Festival in London.
