More than 160 beaches of local authorities have approved beach use plans, as they were defined until last year, while for this year nine additional plans were added and another fifteen were renewed.
The Famagusta.News presents all the approved beaches in the province of Famagusta, the new beaches that have been added, the accessible beaches for the disabled and the beaches for dogs in the province of Famagusta.
Revised Plans on 15 beaches of Paralimni
According to the Central Beaches Committee, of the 19 beaches that revised the Use Plans this year, 15 come from the province of Famagusta and specifically from the Municipality of Paralimni.

8 new beaches in Famagusta
In fact, this year, the Central Beaches Committee approved on April 18, 2019 use plans for a total of 9 new beaches, of which 8 come from the province of Famagusta and more specifically one from the Municipality of Sotiras and the other 7 from the Municipality Paralimni.
These are the beaches:
- Poseidon (Municipality of Sotira)
- Freedom Beach (Municipality of Paralimni)
- Skoutarospili (Municipality of Paralimni)
- Minas (Municipality of Paralimni)
- Vali of X ”Xeni (Municipality of Paralimni)
- Lombardi (Municipality of Paralimni)
- Islands (Municipality of Paralimni)
- Gardens Islands (Municipality of Paralimni)
48 approved beaches in Famagusta
Along with the 8 new beaches whose plans were approved last April by the Central Beaches Committee, a total of 48 beaches in the province of Famagusta are included in the list of approximately 166 approved beaches.
It is noted that the beaches of Konnos and Agia Thekla are located on the municipal border of the Municipalities of Paralimni-Ayia Napa and Sotira-Ayia Napa respectively and are managed (almost) by half by the two Municipalities. In the list below the two beaches appear 2 times:

Of the 66 beaches that were awarded the Blue Flag this year at a special event last May, 26 come from the province of Famagusta. Specifically, these are:

Of the 7 beaches in Cyprus, one beach in the province of Famagusta is dog friendly. This is the beach Glyki Nero A 'near Kappari in the Municipality of Paralimni.
