The Municipality of Paralimni, inaugurates its Spring Festival and presents tomorrow, Tuesday 05/03, at the Spiritual Center "Agios Dimitrios", at 7.30 pm. the performance of music, speech and image, entitled "Nobel Night". It is a tribute, as its title says, to the two leading Nobel laureate poets Giorgos Seferis and Odysseus Elytis. The two poets converse with each other and with the audience on a journey of poetry and music.
The show is the proposal of the "Musical Companions" group, who are used to these kinds of shows that arise through study and research on whatever topic they tackle. This year their cultural excursion begins with the Nobel Prize winners from Paralimni. And they keep promising.
The band consists of Christos Stasis on bouzouki, harmonica and vocals, Adamos Katsantonis, piano – vocals, Stella Kakoulli, vocals, Dimitris Tsoulakos, guitar – vocals, Pampos Sakkas, guitar – vocals and Marios Solomou, percussion – vocals.
Also the journalist Athena Violari and the actor Neophytos Neophytou recite poems of the two poets. The team is completed by Elena Kyprianou with the writing of the evocative texts, the selection of the poems and the production of the visual material.
