Defying the cold and sticking to their daily routine, the winter swimmers of the Kappari area of Paralimni did not miss the opportunity to put on their swimsuits and swim at the beach for the first dip of the new year. With the sunny weather as an ally, the winter swimmers also cut the traditional king pie with the arrival of the new year.
Hot soup, Cypriot zivania, plenty of hot wine and Cypriot dishes were not missing from the swimmers' table.
On the beach, the established consecration by the Protosygello of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Famagusta, Augustinos Kkara, took place. It is worth noting that the oldest swimmer of the Association is 72 years old.
On the beach were the Mayor of Deryneia and winter swimmer Andros Karagiannis, the Municipal Councilor Anastasis Vlittis and the group of winter swimmers of Agia Napa.
