"The Association of Parents and Guardians of Paralimni High School welcomes today's visit of the Minister and the staff of the Ministry of Education, Sports, Culture and Youth to our School.

During the visit, the interest of the competent authority for the facilitation of the conditions in which our children are invited to study was revealed.

However, the problem of overpopulation has been perpetuated in Paralimni High School for decades, since the maximum allowed number is 550 and the school has already confirmed 658 enrollment.

In the past decade, the State has always given us temporary unacceptable solutions, such as prefabricated rooms, many moving sections, etc.

A constant request of both our Association and the local authority is the construction of a second gymnasium which of course is not implemented immediately, however in order to satisfy this request one day the State will have to make the decision to put it in the budget to plan and proceed with its implementation.

"Due to the strong dissatisfaction of parents and students after today's statements, we are forced to immediately start an Extraordinary General Assembly to make decisions."
