The Famagusta Carnival Parade in Paralimni was held for another year, with great success and surpassing all precedents both in terms of participants and the audience that watched it.
The largest event of the province of Famagusta left the best impressions on the public and participants, both for the organization and for the entertainment which was the focus, while it was attended by almost three thousand carnival participants and watched by more than thirty thousand spectators, while a large it was also the number of TV audiences who watched it live on TV.

The Famagusta Carnival Parade, which was broadcast live on Sigma TV with presenters Konstantinos Iasonos and Koula Kyriakou, started at two in the afternoon and was attended by dozens of groups with floats and walking carnivals.
The starting point was the 2nd Primary School of Paralimni and the parade passed through Protara Avenue and Agios Georgiou Street, passing in front of the official platform in Agios Georgiou Square. Among others, the Mayor of Paralimni Theodoros Pyrillis, the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry Giorgos Papanastasiou, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, the Member of Parliament for Famagusta of DIPA Michalis Giakomis, the Mayor of Deryneia, Andros Karagiannis, the Mayor of Sotiras Georgios Tak Ms , the Mayor of Frenarous Michalis Hatzigiorkas and the Mayor of Acheritou, Michalis Kaunas as well as members of the Municipal Council of Paralimni.

The parade was preceded by the cantador group, which was made up of members of the Paralimni Mandolinata. This was followed by the Mayor and the Municipal Council of Paralimni and then those responsible for decorating the floats and the carnival events.
The float of the King of the Carnival stood out, which this year was animated by the well-known and perennial carnivalist Dimitris "Pepe" Tsierkezos, who was disguised according to the theme of this year's carnival "Carnival Extravaganza".
They were followed by floats and groups from the Municipality of Deryneia, the Municipality of Sotiras, the Community of Frenaros and the Community of Acheritos, while groups from scouts, dance schools and other individuals and groups of carnivalists also participated.
The announcer of the parade was Kostas Herodotou and the music was provided by Radio Politia and radio producer Michalis Kourtis.
In the parade area, the presence of Civil Defense and Police volunteers was reinforced.
The organization and supervision of the event was undertaken by the Cultural Service of the Municipality of Paralimni in collaboration with the Famagusta Carnival Committee.
