The 8th Cyprus Bar Show Cy.BA was held with great success on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March 2024 at the Laxia Palace Banquet Hall in Protara. The event was organized at the level of world competitions by the Cyprus Bartenders Union and was under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the Municipality of Paralimni.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, the Mayors of Paralimni, Sotiras, Deryneia and the community council of Frenaros, as well as representatives of various agencies and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Agriculture offering their support to the event.
The cumulative participation in the seminars and competitions was an important part of the event, attracting professionals as well as those interested in the sector.
Exhibitors presented innovative products and new trends to professionals in the catering, bar, restaurant and hotel industries.
The cocktail competitions drew great interest from the public and were held in a pleasant environment with 30 Bartender professionals in the industry, and 65 Student contestants from the Technical Schools of Hotel Industries.
The new champions of the ... cocktails competitions at the 8th Cyprus Bar Show Cy.BA are:
o Polibios Trakosiis from Nicosia, a member of the Cyprus Bartenders Union, made it to the final of the Shakers Battle in the signature cocktail category and took first place, which leads him to Portugal at the World Cocktail Championship to be held in November 2024, where he will represent Cyprus and the Cyprus Union Bartender while in the same categories Xenios Ioannou from Limassol took second place and Young Matt from Paphos took third place.
In the Cypriot competition based on the commandery, Andria Hatziioannou from Paphos won First Place and Alexandra Ppai from Larnaca won Second Place. Also Art Deco awards have been won at Cyprus Cocktail Commantaria – Christos Kremmydis
In the Non Alcoholic Cocktail the first winners are Hose Montero from Larnaca and Polyvios Trakosiis the second place.
In the Lady Drink Cocktail competition the first winners are Stavria Papagianni from Larnaca who will represent Cyprus in the corresponding competition in 2025, Andria Zacharia from Paralimni the Second place and Nicoletta Pantos from Paralimni the third place.

The highlight of the event was the fantastic Bar-Show of Kacper Smarz, world champion of flairtending, who gave an unrepeatable show and wowed the audience with his masterful tricks and fire show!
