PARALIMNI: Police raid to crack down on electronic gambling

Members of the Office for Combating Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting, in collaboration with members of the Famagusta Crime Prevention and Crime Prevention Department, carried out a search warrant at around 8 last night on a warrant at a property in the province of Amos.

During the search, a computer believed to be used as a gaming machine was found, as well as three gaming machines that were in operation and their possession is prohibited. All of the above were received for further examination. The amount of € 1,089 was also located and confiscated.

The 39-year-old manager of the premises was called to the Paralimni Police Station where, after being interrogated in writing, he was released to be charged at a later stage, pending the results of the scientific examinations.

The Paralimni Police Station continues the examinations.
