The immediate mobilization of the Police, this morning in Paralimni, after information that he might be in danger, proved to be a lifesaver for an 87-year-old man.
Specifically, around 11am. today, a doctor at a clinic in Paralimni, informed the Police, that an 87-year-old patient of hers did not show up for a scheduled examination, which, in combination with
with his age and the medical problems he faces, raised concerns for his life.
Members of the Paralimni Police Station went to the 87-year-old's home to examine the information. Despite repeated calls to the 87-year-old, police received no response, while neighbors reported he had not been seen since March 19.
A locksmith was called to the scene, who opened the door of the house, as a result of which the elderly man was found unconscious on the floor. An ambulance was immediately called, while until its arrival, members of the Police provided first aid to the 87-year-old.
Afterwards, the 87-year-old was taken to the Famagusta General Hospital, where he was kept for treatment.
