A large coordinated operation by the Police in Paralimni was completed a while ago.
The operation started at 17:30 in the afternoon and was attended by more than 30 members of the Famagusta Police Department from the TAE, OPE, YKAN, the Foreigners and Immigration Service, the Famagusta Traffic Police and the Paralimni Police Station.
According to the Press Representative of the Famagusta Police Department, Andreas Konstantinou, the purpose of the coordinated operation was to prevent crime and to stimulate the public's sense of security.
During the operation, searches of homes, property and vehicles were carried out and a number of traffic complaints were issued, while suspects were also questioned.
A 35-year-old Greek Cypriot man was also arrested after a search of his car, which was parked outside his home in the Paralimni settlement.
13,5 grams of cocaine, a precision scale and the amount of 4.400 euros were found hidden in the car and confiscated.
