A speech by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi Elder Ephraim was held at the Henion amphitheater in Paralimni on the afternoon of Wednesday 08/02 on the topic "Agia Zoni. Mount Athos – Famagusta. The Virgin Mary, protector of the nation."
In his speech, Elder Ephraim spoke about the history of the Vatopedi Monastery and described miracles of the Holy Zone. "Agia Zoni is a miracle that still exists to this day in the monastery of Vatopedi."
The abbot of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi said that the arrival of Agia Zoni in Cyprus, after 34 years, is a blessing. Her presence will be one of the greatest events and will bring a change, a grace, a spiritual awareness, he added.
Elder Ephraim said that the message of the Virgin that comes here with the arrival of the Holy Belt is a secret message, explaining that it is an ascetic message, a message of inner life.
He also mentioned that Agia Zoni was honored by the Varosians. "The world was united and closely connected spiritually with the Agia Zoni of Panagia".
