Crowds of people, women, men and children said goodbye on Sunday 11/02 with emotion and tears in their eyes to the Agia Zoni tis Panagia in Paralimni.
Before the transfer of the Agia Zoni, a prayer was made at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni.
The clergy and the faithful together with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasilios, hastened to say goodbye to Agia Zoni to the sounds of the Akathistos Hymn and to the accompaniment of a band while women were showering themselves with flowers and myrrh during the departure of the procession.
It is noted that yesterday morning a Triarchate mass was held in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios Paralimni before the Holy Belt. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by the Metropolitan of Famagusta, Mr. Vasilios, flanked by the Metropolitans of Paphos, Mr. Tychiko and Tamasou Isaia.
On Saturday night, accompanied by many believers, under the sounds of the band and the bells of the church, a Holy Litany of the Holy Belt was held in Paralimni.
The Holy Belt of Panagia was transferred to the Holy Church of Panagia Pantanassa in Catholic Limassol. Which will remain there until February 18.
