On the night of Tuesday, October 5, the book of Brigadier General Lucas Hadjimichael, Commander of the VII Motorized Infantry Brigade, "I was only looking for the truth" was presented in the amphitheater of the private school Xenion.

It is with great satisfaction and joy that I welcome in this modest ceremony, the presentation of the second novel book of the distinguished friend Brigadier General Lucas Hatzimichael, which is entitled: "I was only looking for the truth."
The author in a masterful way and in a true way, describes a specific case which, in essence, is the quintessence of the painful experiences of the Cypriot people during the struggle of EOKA 1955-59.
The protagonist of the story, is subjected to severe torture in order to testify to the place where his other brothers were hidden. Result: after strong resistance, the English burned them alive, classifying them in the pantheon of heroes. Years later, his son, through various "conspiracies" manages to "find the truth" by achieving the punishment of the traitor and the "justification" for the loss of his own people.
The messages, values and lessons that this book gives, allow the reader to expand the horizons of his knowledge in making decisions that concern him and society at large.
