On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in the event hall of the Paralimni Town Hall, a presentation event for the book "281st Infantry Battalion: In the vortex of the coup and the invasion" was held.
The event was organized by the Association of Reserve Officers and Soldiers of the 281 T.P. (1974) and the Pages of Historical Memory and Representation (S.I.M.A.)
Greetings were addressed by Theodoros Pyrillis, Mayor of Paralimni, Giorgos Potamos, President of the 1974 Warriors Association, Elias Epifaniou, Book Publisher, Alkis Theori, President of the Association of Reserve Officers and Soldiers 281 P.O. and Savvas Tsolakis, President of Historical Memory and Representation (S.I.M.A.)
The book was presented by Giorgos Kazamias, Professor of Modern and Modern History at the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Cyprus, followed by a rebuttal by the author, Dr. Charalambos Alexandrou, Historian - Author.
The event was coordinated by Litsa Mavridou, Radio Producer RIK.
The event was held under the auspices of the Municipality of Paralimni.
