The TESEK of Paralimni, committed to the national and religious principles of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, held on February 21, in collaboration with the Brotherhood of Epirotians and Friends of Cyprus "Olympias", a celebratory event for the 111th anniversary of the Liberation of Ioannina on the 21st February 1913.

The Liberation of Epirus was a leading historical event that gave new dimensions and other perspectives to Hellenism. The TESEK of Paralimni therefore considered it its duty to embrace and support an event of honor to the struggles of Hellenism, an event that is being held for the first time in Cyprus, in order to stimulate the competitive spirit of the apprentice youth, so necessary in an island that has been groaning for half a century now under the boot of the Turkish invader. He thus intended to give the message that, when Hellenism is united, like the TESEK of Paralimni with the Brotherhood of Epirotians and Friends of Cyprus "Olympia", then it can flourish.

As part of the celebratory tribute, a rich audio-visual artistic tribute was presented in the closed event hall of TESEK of Paralimni with screenings of historical snapshots, reading of articles from period newspapers, recitation of poems with background music by a six-piece traditional orchestra and continental dances by a numerous dance group. At the end of the event, there was a cocktail reception prepared by the educational staff of the School with the final year students of the Hotel and Catering Professions branch, but also with typical Epirotian dishes offered by members of the Brotherhood of Epirotians and Friends of "Olympia". The entire event received the financial support of the TESEK Parents' Association of Paralimni and was televised by RIK.

Present at the celebratory tribute were a host of official guests from the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, Trade Union Organizations of Secondary and Technical Education, the All-Cypriot Confederation of Parents and the TESEK Parents' Association of Paralimni, political representatives, local authorities, ELDYK Military and Military Formations of Kokkinohoria, Greek Embassy, the Hellenic Tourism Organization as well as the Association of Free Greeks of Famagusta. However, a special honor was the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece with Education Consultants, teachers and dozens of high school students.

It was a celebratory event that boosted everyone's sense of pride and strengthened relations with ensembles and schools in Greece, leaving the best impressions and eliciting warm congratulations.
