The annual Clergy Assembly of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia-Famagusta was held on Friday night at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni.
This year's event was special as it was dedicated to the 10 years of life and action since the reconstruction of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia-Famagusta in 2007.
During his welcome, the Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta, Vassilios expressed his gratitude and thanks to the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos and the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis for their great contribution, as he said, to the promotion and support of the work of Mitros.

During the event, an honorary plaque was presented to the Director of KET-ETEK of the Holy Archdiocese of Cyprus, Mr. Giannos Charilaou.
Metropolitan Sassimon Gennadios presented a presentation on "Secularization in society and the church today - Challenges and Reflections", while SIGMA TV journalist Giannis Kareklas presented the album dedicated to the ten years of action and contribution of the Holy Metropolitan Constantine.

The President of the Republic of Turkey, Nikos Anastasiadis, expressed his wish that the visit of the President of Turkey to Greece would create a positive atmosphere and bring elements that would allow the resumption of the dialogue and the resumption of the Conference on Cyprus.
Welcoming the Clergy Assembly of the Diocese of Constantia Famagusta held at the Church of St. George in Paralimni, President Anastasiadis assured that "the top priority from the beginning of our duties remains the solution of our beloved Famagusta. He noted that such an action by the occupying power, especially after the recent failure of the new round of talks in Crans Montana as a result of the Turkish intransigence, could constitute a genuine confidence-building measure between the two communities in Cyprus, based on the similar progress could be made on the Cyprus issue, which will consequently lead to the resumption of negotiations.

Referring to the Clergy Assembly, President Anastasiadis said that it has become an institution and a point of reference for the history of the Church of Cyprus, being an inspired initiative of Metropolitan Constantia and Famagusta, has achieved the goal of development, strengthening and consolidation. between the Diocese and its flock.
