A driver was released from the wreckage of his vehicle in Paralimni, after an accident. Specifically, under circumstances being investigated by the Police, the 35-year-old driver lost control of the car, it overturned and came to a halt on a bike path.
According to the Police, it was shortly before five on Wednesday afternoon, while the 35-year-old was driving his car on Spyrou Kyprianou Street in Paralimni, in the direction of Protaras, he lost control of the vehicle, as a result of which he deviated from his course. to the left, overturn and stop on the bike path.
The 35-year-old was not injured, however he remained trapped in the wreckage of the vehicle.
Police and members of the Fire Service were called to the scene and released the 35-year-old. He was transported by ambulance to the TAEP of the General Hospital of Famagusta, in Paralimni, where he was kept precautionarily for treatment.
The car suffered extensive damage. In an alcohol test performed on the driver the reading was zero.
The case is being investigated by the Paralimni Police Station.
