For his part, the Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, did not accept to swim, but jokingly stated that he would swim with his clothes if there was someone to offer the amount of one thousand euros, which was done by the father of the late Iakovos, Andreas Triaros and so Paralimni dived with the clothes.
