Today, January 5th, Epiphany Eve, Consecration of the Waters was held at the Fishing Shelter of Agios Nikolaos in the Pernera area of Protaras.
The consecration of the waters was preceded by a church service at the chapel of Agios Nikolaos, while earlier the service of the Orthros, the Great Hours, the Vespers of the Epiphanies after the Divine Liturgy of the Great Basil and the Great Sanctification (of the Chants) were held in the Churches of the parish of the Municipality of Paralimni .
Tomorrow, Friday, January 6, 2023, the day of the Epiphany, the Consecration of the Waters ceremony will take place in the chapel of the Holy Trinity in the fishing shelter of Paralimni, at 10:30 a.m. (by the faithful of the Bulgarian-speaking parish) and in the chapel of Apostle Andrew in the area of Nisia in Protaras at 11:00 a.m.
