In a letter to the Mayor of Paralimni, the President of the Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Cooperation, George Perdikis raises the issue of interventions, in the form of earthworks, which alter the coastline on the beaches of the free area of Famagusta.
According to the management of the adjacent Cavo Maris hotel, projects are taking place that are destroying the coast of the area, without their legitimacy being clear.
"As an Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Cooperation with a series of complaints and interventions, we try to put a brake on the many similar interventions that take place, especially in the Municipality of Paralimni. "These are interventions that destroy the coast forever, in order to achieve temporary benefits from mass tourism", says Mr. Perdikis in his letter.
