According to an announcement of the KSED, around 17:55, the Larnaca KSED received information regarding 2 missing persons, who sailed from 15:15 by individual canoes from the Golden Coast area in Protaras.
Therefore, KSED immediately activated the National Plan E-D "NEARCHOS", mobilizing a boat of the Port and Maritime Police of Paralimni Station, vessels of the Lifeguard services of the Municipality of Paralimni, as well as the MAEP of MAEP.
A pedestrian patrol was also called to the spot by ADE Famagusta to check the coastline.
The 2 missing, men aged 43 and 60 respectively, were pulled out by a private man, who was sailing in a jet ski boat in the area around 19:25.
