Issues concerning the operation of leisure centers in the free province of Famagusta, were raised by the Association of Owners of Leisure Centers of Famagusta (SIKAA), in the Federation of Employers and Industrialists.
A written announcement of the Association states that in a teleconference held today between SIKAA and representatives of the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB), with the participation of the Director of the Tourist, Commercial and Industrial Company of Famagusta) government support for recreation centers and issues related to the reopening of recreation centers in the near future ”.
Specifically, the Association "raised issues related to the seasonal base of recreation centers in the free province of Famagusta, the dependence of recreation centers on tourist arrivals, operating costs, with main points the cost of employment, rent and electricity, but also problems that will arise during the reopening of the leisure centers, taking into account the expected reduction of tourist arrivals ”.
It is noted that “the meeting took place in a very constructive atmosphere and SIKAA has already sent a memorandum to O.E.B. with its positions. The Association awaits tomorrow the announcements of the Council of Ministers regarding the schedule and the conditions for the reopening of the companies and in case of need it will make similar interventions and proposals in the points concerning the operation of the leisure centers ".
