The Mayor of Paralimni Theodoros Pyrillis announced his independent candidacy for the Presidency of the Provincial Organization of Famagusta a little while ago.
In his announcement on social media, he states that he requested the blessing of the Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Vassiliou, to announce his decision on the candidacy for the anointing of the President of the Provincial Organization of Famagusta.
At the same time, he emphasizes in his announcement that "for the first time in the province of Famagusta, we decide on the future of our country".
This means that now officially Theodoros Pyrillis will enter the battle for the upcoming municipal elections and specifically for the Famagusta District Self-Government Organization and confirms the rumors that said that in the pre-election battle we will have a fight between former fellow mayors, namely Yannis Karousou Vs Theodorou Pyrillis.
