Kolokasi Sotira was awarded the Best Product of the Year 2017 tonight.
Sotira's local product won the award at tonight's Time Out Eating Awards, which are currently underway at the Royal Hall in Nicosia.
The award was presented to the Mayor of Sotira by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Nikos Kougialis.
Sotira Mayor George Takkas thanked DIAS and Time Out magazine as well as the Minister of Agriculture himself for his contribution to securing the Kolokasio file in August 2016 as a Product with a Secured Designation of Origin.
