Nikolas Papadopoulos spoke about specific problems that plague the sector of agriculture and animal husbandry and that must be resolved immediately.
He referred, among other things, to the increased rents of forest and forest land to farmers and stockbreeders, the high cost of production of agricultural products, the issue of water use from the southern pipeline, the need for supervisory control of pesticide prices, the big issue concerning halloumi and the illegal movement of products from Turkey through the occupied territories.
Addressing the dozens of attendees at the dance party, Nikolas Papadopoulos said characteristically: "the problems that the rural world and the entire Cypriot society are called to face are not solved by hollow promises or the unfulfilled" commitments "that he generously distributed and distributed. . The key problems of our farmers will be solved through a new economic model, which will lead to rural development utilizing new technologies and innovative methods ".
"These new technologies and methods," he continued, "will give additional incentives but also opportunities to the new generation, in order to turn to rural entrepreneurship."
