With all due respect, on Sunday July 30, 2023 at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of the Savior, the annual religious memorial service of the heroically fallen during the Turkish invasion of 1974, Kyriakos Nikolettis, Kyriakos Potamou, Christofi Anastasi, Michalakis Theodoulou, Antonis Pantelis and Adamou Englesou and the Petition in favor of finding the five Missing Persons of Sotiras, Efstathiou Efstathiou, Georgiou Athanasis, Costa Lysis, Panagiotis Paschalis and Georgiou Patsii.

The government was represented by the Director General of the General Directorate of Environment, Mr. Costas Hatzipanagiotou, where he delivered the Memorial speech.

A march was preceded by the Sotiras Commandos Reserve Club with the transfer of flame from the chapel of Agia Thekla to the Memorial of the Fallen and Missing.

This was followed by an invitation to the fallen and missing from the Commando Reserve Club, a trisago for the repose of the fallen and a prayer for finding and ascertaining the fate of the missing from Sotiras.

The modest but touching ceremony was concluded with the laying of wreaths, an artistic program by the Sotiras Municipal Choir and the National Anthem in the presence of the relatives of the fallen and missing, the Sotiras religious congregations and the students of the Peace and Freedom High School.
