The certificate of distinction of the "Plastic Free Beaches" network will be secured on Sunday, December 17, by the beach of Agia Thekla of Sotiras municipality as part of the initiative of the "Keep our Sand and Sea Plastic Free" project of the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Association and the TUI Care Foundation.
The award ceremony will take place during an event on the beach which will include a live radio connection, competitions with rich gifts, games for young and old, decorating a Christmas tree with reused materials.
Specifically, the event will take place at 10:30-13:00 on the beach of Agia Thekla.
The goal is to reduce plastic pollution so that we can enjoy clean seas free of plastics.
The event is supported by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, ETAP Famagusta, the Municipality of Sotiras and the Sotiras Youth Center.
