A 21-year-old resident of Paralimni and an 18-year-old from Sotira were injured yesterday afternoon in a car accident in Sotira.
Specifically, according to the Police, at 17:45 on Tuesday afternoon, a 21-year-old resident of Paralimni was riding his motorcycle on the Frenaros-Sotiras Lyceum road.
Leaving the junction with Stadiou Street in Sotira, he entered the main road, as a result of which he stopped the course of the car, which was driven by an 18-year-old from Sotira and they collided.
Both were injured in the collision and were transported by ambulance, the first to a polyclinic in Paralimni and the second to the Emergency Department of the Famagusta General Hospital.
The driver of the car, after receiving first aid, was discharged, while the 21-year-old driver of the motorcycle suffered a fracture of his right leg and remained for treatment.
Both drivers underwent a breathalyzer test with zero indication.
At the time of the collision, the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a safety helmet and the driver was wearing his seat belt.
Both vehicles were severely damaged.
The scene was planned and the Deryneia Police Station is investigating.
