The Famagusta Tourist, Commercial and Industrial Company sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic on the occasion of his re-election.
The announcement, signed by the President of TEVEA, Petros Petrou, expresses his congratulations to Nikos Anastasiadis for his re-election by the Board of Directors of TEVEA, but also to the entire business community of the "mutilated" province of Famagusta. It is also stated that "the recent Presidential Elections have clearly shown that the Cypriot people have matured politically, have a crisis and are not disoriented by auspicious slogans and populism".
Referring to the President of the Republic, the announcement underlines that he is "the only President in the world who, while called to face the scourge of economic disaster by applying the harsh requirements of the memorandum, nevertheless achieved re-election with the majority of the Cypriot people and not of political parties ”.
Regarding the re-election, the announcement emphasizes that the province of Famagusta was a flag bearer in the re-election efforts with the highest percentages in Cyprus, stating that this is proof of Nikos Anastasiadis' offer in the "marginalized and mutilated" province of Famagusta. Entrepreneurship in the province of Famagusta will be further strengthened by solving the long-standing problem of lack of a chamber in free Famagusta ”.
