With the completion of 49 years since the occupation of Acheritou on August 31, 1974, the association Free Acheritou organizes a Day of Remembrance of the occupied Acheritou and invites you to commemorate with your presence the event that will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in the neighborhood of Agios Georgios Vrysoulos Acheritos in the church of Agios Dimitrios.
The event will be graced by the presence of the Minister of Justice and Public Order Mrs. Anna Koukkidis Prokopiou.
The program includes:
- Commemoration of the Fallen and executed Acherians and a prayer to find the Missing.
- Trisagion and laying of wreaths at the monument to the fallen and missing of the community of Acheritou in the settlement of Agios Georgios Vrysoula Acheritou.
