The opening of the 1st Festival of Traditional Tastes and Exhibition of Traditional Products, organized by the Center for the Promotion of Traditional Products of Cyprus and the Municipality of Ayia Napa, took place last Friday night by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Mr. Nikos Kougialis.
In his greeting, Mr. Kougialis praised the great importance for our country of preserving and promoting its traditional flavors and products and congratulated the Mayor and the Municipal Council who through the frequent events organized by the Municipality promotes at every opportunity to locals and foreign visitors the customs, traditions and traditions of our place.
The Mayor in his speech mentioned, among other things, that the sun and the sea are not enough to promote our tourism product, so he added that the need to promote our culture, such as our traditional products, which should be used by the tourism industry.
A rich artistic program followed with dances and songs.
The 1st Tasting Festival and exhibition of traditional products continues and ends tonight Saturday 12 August at 8:00 pm with a rich artistic program with the music program of the Savior Youth Choir "Little Rebetes" with a beautiful rebetiko music and dance program.
The traditional flavors and products as well as the artistic program will take place at the Municipal Museum of Ayia Napa "Sea".
