A 23-year-old woman who was injured in a car accident in Ayia Napa is being treated for a brain injury

A 23-year-old woman from Poland, who was injured yesterday in a car accident in Ayia Napa, is being treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta with a craniocerebral injury and fractures of the spine and neck.

According to the Police, around 5 yesterday afternoon, a 25-year-old visitor from Poland was riding a four-wheeled motorcycle on the road Cape Greco - Ayia Napa in the direction of Ayia Napa, with a 23-year-old friend also from Poland.

At some point on the road under conditions investigated by the Police, the 25-year-old lost control of the motorcycle and after colliding with the line of the road flowerpot, he then overturned on the asphalt.

As a result of the collision, both young men were injured and transported by ambulance to a private clinic in Ayia Napa, where after examinations it was found that the young man suffered various abrasions and after being provided with First Aid he was discharged.

The 23-year-old suffered a craniocerebral injury, a fracture of the spine and neck and was transported to the Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni for further treatment.

The girl's health condition is considered out of danger.

The driver of the motorcycle underwent an alcohol test with zero indication.

The case is being investigated by the Ayia Napa Police Station.
