Pfizer and Moderna have raised their vaccine prices in their latest contracts with the EU, according to the Financial Times and Reuters.
The new price for its Pfizer vaccine is said to be 19,50 euros ($ 23,15), compared to 15,50 euros previously, the FT notes, citing parts of the contracts.
On the other hand, the price of Moderna is about 21,50 euros per installment, a price higher than 19 euros of the first supply agreement, but lower than previously agreed that reached 24 euros, as the order has increased.
Pfizer and Moderna were not immediately available for comment to Reuters.
The European Commission said on Tuesday that the EU would reach a target of fully vaccinating at least 70% of the adult population by the end of the summer. In May, the EU said it expected to have received more than XNUMX billion doses of vaccine by the end of September from four pharmacists.
