The issue of powers of the Auditor General was raised by the Minister of Interior, Socrates Hasikos, on the occasion of the disagreement of Odysseas Michailidis with the government's decision to extend the state contract with the investor who manages the solid waste treatment plant in Kosi.
Mr. Hasikos raised the institutional issue, as he characterized it, before the Parliamentary Audit Committee.
