The difficulties of life in the countryside, for farmers and stockbreeders are a given, with the result that in recent decades young people have turned their backs on these areas.

A program promoted by the government seeks to make them more attractive, giving incentives for the younger generation to return to the countryside and engage in agricultural production and livestock.

As the Minister of Agriculture Nikos Kougialis stated to SIGMA, there was a great interest from young farmers, as a result of which a large number of applications were received.

According to the Minister of Agriculture, the first installation and investment plans that improve the overall subsidies and the viability of the agricultural holdings attracted the interest of several young Farmers.
