Forgotten cooking utensil in a cooking stove caused a fire in a canteen inside the building of SEGIDEP Paralimni.
According to an announcement by the Fire Department, at 15:35 on Tuesday, a call was received for a fire in the canteen. The Famagusta Fire Station responded with 2 vehicles and at 15.49 the fire was brought under control.
The fire damaged the equipment and the false ceiling of the canteen, while the smoke and heat affected the painting of the area. To extinguish the fire, a flute was used from the water of the vehicles and 3 breathing apparatuses were used.
In total, the PY from 06.00 on October 11 until 06.00 this morning responded to 29 calls for help, 22 fires, 6 special services and 1 false call.
