The Cypriot football clubs are characterized as unreliable by the world football federation, FIFPro, as it is emphasized in a relevant announcement of the federation, the Cypriot teams do not keep the contracts they conclude with the foreign football players.

Cyprus, according to the federation, holds the scepter of this negative athletic behavior.

The international footballers' federation based in the Netherlands, with its announcement, instructs the footballers to think twice before signing contracts with teams from Cyprus, Greece and Turkey.

He points out to the players to avoid negotiating their transfer, especially with teams from these countries that do not participate in European competitions, because, as he notes, they do not keep their promises and contractual commitments.

Cyprus, according to the international federation, has for years occupied the first place of complaints and disputes referred to FIFA by affected footballers, while Greece and Turkey are "competing" for the second place.

In addition, the number of disputes referred each year to the relevant international football federation is increasing, with the exception of clubs participating in European competitions, as UEFA implements a system that reduces the risks of enforcing contracts.

Several players whose contracts were kept involved in complex legal proceedings. Teams from these three countries are doing everything possible to attract players who promise them hefty salaries, bonuses, luxury housing and percentages in case they transfer to another club.

"Unfortunately FIFPro has found that many teams are not living up to these promises as they are facing financial difficulties and players will have to wait months to be paid. Many times their salaries are not even paid, as some clubs declare bankruptcy. There are still footballers who are forced to leave the house in which they live since their teams do not pay the rent. "As far as bonuses are concerned, any report ceases to be made", it is emphasized in the announcement.
