Shocking facts seem to have come to light from the investigations of the three criminal investigators who are investigating corruption cases in the Police in relation to the quadruple murder in Ayia Napa.

They detect inaction or even negligence on a high level of the Police from the investigations concerning the information that was repeatedly transmitted by the Serbian Authorities for Serb executors who were planning a murder in Cyprus.

Despite the information with names and details given, however, in fact nothing was done, as a result of which the murder of Kalopsidiotis and three other persons was not prevented.

According to information from the newspaper "Phileleftheros", the investigations and interrogations of the criminal investigators show that although many knew about the impending murder with evidence, not much was done to prevent it.

Errors and omissions by the Police

Investigators identified omissions and errors in the investigation of the information provided by the Serbian Interpol. As it turned out, the information was extremely serious, even persons related to the impending murder were named.

Indicative of the inaction observed, according to the findings of investigators, is that while information was transmitted that even money was sent to Cyprus to carry out the murder, this part was not thoroughly investigated.

As it turned out, no inquiries were made into the money transfer company through which the money was sent. Earlier this week, criminal investigators went to Ayia Napa and took statements from both citizens and members of the police in connection with the quadruple murder.

Disciplinary and criminal offenses for police officers

As "Phileleftheros" reports in its report, the investigations are almost complete and now the final report will begin to be written with suggestions to the Attorney General.

Investigators will suggest that disciplinary and criminal offenses arise for specific police officers, both for handling top secret information, for leaking them, etc.

As will be pointed out in the report, confidential information concerning the action of Serbs in Cyprus leaked to various persons and saw the light of day.

The investigators' conclusion is expected to be given according to their commitment on January 6 or 9.
