The Pancyprian Federation of Student Unions (POFEN) will express its protest for the reduction of the fund for student sponsorship on Tuesday, marching from the traffic lights (formerly Honda) to the Presidential Palace, where it will deliver a relevant resolution.
The procession starts at 15:00.
The Federation claims that its basic request was not heard by the Ministry of Education.
"This is none other than our main opposition, to the reduction of the total amount of student care, from € 66.890.000 in 2016 to € 59.968.590 in 2017.
In this direction we have decided that, once again, we convey our views in a dynamic way, this time to the highest executive power, with a basic request for the submission by the government of an additional budget of € 8m, and their full disposal, in student sponsorship and the student package, in order to really increase the number of eligible students ", it is mentioned in an announcement of POFEN.
