Protect your hands from the cold

With mint and lemon oil

Extremely low winter temperatures can make your hands wild. However there is a way to protect them by making a mint and lemon oil… 

You will need:

1/2 glass of almond oil

2 tbsp. chopped lemon peel

2 tbsp. mint or mint (fresh)

2-3 eucalyptus leaves dried

2 tbsp. calendula oil

Properties

Almond oil is emollient and moisturizing, mint and eucalyptus help the product to penetrate, while tightening the skin. Finally, calendula oil heals the small holes that your hands may have.

The execution

Put the oils in a jar, add all the other ingredients and leave the mixture in the cupboard for 15 days. Then filter it with tulle and store it in a bottle.

The application

Spread the oil on your hands and massage until the product is absorbed. Wear cotton gloves for at least 1-2 hours. Then rinse with very mild soap and reapply a few drops of the same oil for hydration.

Advice

For a more effective treatment, wrap your hands in plastic wrap and wear gloves all night. This oil is a wonderful soothing for after hair removal. In fact, adding 5-10 drops of lavender or thyme essential oil becomes antiseptic.
