Welcoming him in Limassol, at the inauguration of a factory unit of a company that already operates in 13 other countries, President Anastasiadis said that the company's presence on the island is an example of an investor who trusts our country, "which coincides with a renaissance of our economy after a long period of recession ".

He noted that attracting investment to a country like Cyprus requires an organized and convincing effort, "because no capital holder would ever take more than the reasonable risk of investing" and added that an attractive, modern and stable tax environment is required. and a modern public service.

As a state, he continued, we must provide investors with an effective framework that will ensure that investing in our country will give them the reasonable benefits they expect and reminded that the Government has already launched significant reforms "that horizontally touch the whole range of requirements for investment activities ".

President Anastasiadis also stated that the Government's priorities are the announcement of the creation of a Ministry of Development as soon as possible and underlined that "we aspire to significantly reduce the nightmare of bureaucracy, while we are determined to eliminate maze processes investment ".

"Our reform program includes the simplification of procedures for licensing and operation of companies, a new development law that provides for a rapid licensing process for strategic investments and a new regulatory framework and institutional framework for vital sectors of the economy," he added.

Finally, the President of the Republic assured those who trust Cyprus for their investments, that "we are in a good mood for creative cooperation with them for mutual benefit, proceeding daily with reforms that will make both their and our work easier ».
