City-Pontos-Izmir-Cyprus: Five and a half centuries stained with blood

Once upon a time there was an empire called Byzantium. It was a beacon of culture and a source of arts and letters. He spread Christianity throughout his territory even outside of it and prosperity prevailed in this earthly paradise. One day, however, some Turks came and occupied Constantinople, ending this golden age. The years have passed and these Turks are now our friends and allies. Of course they killed "a few" people in Pontus, expelled and slaughtered some Armenians, recommended some to the waterfront of Smyrna and finally came with the blessings of imperialism and our own mistakes in Cyprus, killed, captured and settled a third of it. In the year 2013, our neighbors make a few tsaboukades but because they are our good friends and because we do not want to be angry with them, we are good children, we eat with them, if we wish we make some concessions and we have a great time.

The above paragraph reflects the current spirit of the modern Greek. This story is taught (?) In our schools and it is cultivated in the consciousness of the world by our politicians. We hear "Turk" and we are afraid, we tremble. We think of them as a superpower that is ready to devour us whenever it wants. They are accompanied by the reputation of the slaughterer, of course, but even that is forbidden to condemn because we will irritate them. Defeatism or rather neo-radiance and the interests of governments want today's Greeks to be silent and endure all injustices. The pride and valor of the glorious past gave way to fraternity, well-being and defeatism. We remembered to react when they took our money, but it was too late, and then we fell back into the miserable routine. National wise zero, faith below zero and let them go.

On the contrary, our opposite "friends" seem to be doing just fine. Having built their empire with the blood of the peoples of Asia Minor, they continue their destructive work unscathed. They look like they were made for it. Genocide, rape, violent Islamization and looting are in their DNA. One of the two genocides they committed concerns us Greeks and I am referring to that of the Pontians. Aiming at the Christian populations of Pontus and Armenia, who considered them dangerous, they organized massacres at the behest of German officers to exterminate them. The aim was to reduce the unbelievers (Christians) and to give up their aspirations for autonomy. They would also eliminate once and for all the hated Romans, who represented Byzantium with the Patriarchate, and secondarily would serve the interests of the Germans in the region.

So we want to have friends of these butchers. This is how a people suffers, however, who are not being taught HISTORY CORRECTLY. The Ministries of Education or Training in Greece and Cyprus considered it right that teenagers should not know about the events of the genocide. Also, many are unaware of the invasion of Cyprus in '74 and our national issues in general. The "wise" who rule us want the new helpless and submissive. They try to alter our national identity by making us forget. Unfortunately, we see young people living in the spirit of over-consumption and computer debauchery. This is how you BECOME our society, gentlemen politicians.

This situation shows its own ability to destroy the future of Hellenism. It also shows your inability to step on the killer neighbors. How can efforts not be made to recognize the Pontian Genocide worldwide? Why is there not a single Greece-Cyprus foreign policy with which we will put Turkey in the seat of the accused for its crimes in '74? Why are you constantly promoting treacherous plans against the Hellenism of Cyprus and why is the issue of the EEZ of Greece not advancing? By your attitude you show that the blood flow that began in 1453, you want to continue. With the youth withered, the nationally prudent low and the financial crisis that you carried with us with your bosses, you have us on the respirator.

Five and a half centuries stained with blood will increase if we do not wake up. There is a need to raise the national mindset and, above all, to rebuild society. At last, this enslavement to the parties and to their will should cease to exist. We are fed up with the various leaders. Now we want real leaders to take Hellenism on their backs and bring it where it deserves. Because at the moment no one seems on the horizon, the only thing left for us to do is VIGILANCE, dissemination of NATIONAL EDUCATION and FAITH IN GOD.
