A case of chlorine leakage from a swimming pool engine room in a complex of tourist apartments, on the road Sotira to Frenaros, was faced on Monday (07/08) by the Fire Service.
An announcement states that the call for the incident was received at 07.49 yesterday morning and the fire station of Famagusta responded with two fire trucks, including a team and a chemical vehicle.
The engine room was preceded by pool maintenance work. After the chlorine supply to the pumping station was cut off, the valve was closed, a small amount of chlorine was collected and placed in a safe place, using chemical and breathable devices.
