The "Jamaica" coalition now seems to be favored by the Germans, after the announcement of the Social Democrats that they choose to stay in opposition. At the same time, citizens blame the largest share of the blame for the vote leaks not so much on the leaders, but on the entire parties.

According to a poll conducted by the Infratest dimap Institute for ARD, the "grand coalition" is preferred by 31% (+ 8% since yesterday), while the "Jamaica" coalition (Christian Democrats / Christian Socialists, Liberals, Greens) is preferred by 57% ( + 34% from yesterday). In the event that it is not possible to form a governing coalition, 26% support a minority government, while 65% are in favor of holding new elections.

Regarding the "no" of the Social Democrats in the possibility of participating in the government, 59% consider it right, while 33% have the opposite opinion. Among SPD supporters, the percentage of those who approve of Martin Schultz's stance rises to 74%.

The responsibilities fall on the parties


When asked if the SPD will stick to this decision or change its mind, 59% say they will, while 30% have a different view.

"Is it positive that Merkel remains chancellor?" Citizens were asked to answer in the affirmative by 58%, 13 points less than they had answered after the 2013 elections.

According to the results of the survey, the responsibility for the losses of the parties lies with 27% of Angela Merkel and 65% of the CDU, with 36% of Horst Seehofer and with 56% of the CSU and with 28% of Martin Schultz and 67% the SPD.

Regarding the parliamentary cooperation of the parties with the AfD, 17% believe that it should exist, 47% prefer it to be done on a case-by-case basis, while 33% reject any cooperation.
