The claim that the education system in "southern Cyprus" is not "peaceful", while in the occupied territories it has shortcomings, was expressed by the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akinci, stating that a committee for education can be set up in the context of the Cyprus talks.
Mr Akinci said efforts were being made in that direction but the commission had not yet been set up.
A culture of peace must be built so that there is a future in Cyprus, he said.
