Within the next few days, the decision of the juvenile prosecutor's office is expected on the issue of the temporary custody of little Lydia, while today the lawyer of the victim's family, Thanasis Harmanis, arrived at the prosecutor's office.
According to the lawyer of Caroline's family, she submitted a request for the victim's mother to receive the sole custody of the little one, because it is the most suitable environment, as she said. "In Athens Lydia will be the child of the murderer, in Alonissos he will be the child who lost his manola" said Mr. Harmanis.
However, as a request for joint custody of little Lydia became known, the side of Caroline's confessed murderer also submitted. Furthermore, Mr. Harmanis stated that the two sides until yesterday were talking about the issue of the child.
Specifically, Mr. Harmanis said, among other things, in the statement he made to the journalists the following: "We came to submit to the juvenile prosecutor the request for exclusive custody of Lydia by Caroline's mother. We were informed that the reports are positive, especially for Alonissos. We submitted a request to be assigned custody to Caroline's mother because it is the most suitable environment as in Athens the little Lydia will be the daughter of the murderer, in Alonissos the child who lost his manola. I was shocked when I read a report by the social worker that little Lydia, even though she is a newborn, can save scenes of violence. "Until last night, the two sides were talking and I am in a good mood for talks."
Finally, as Mr. Harmanis stated, "a similar request has been submitted by Babis's family as we were informed".
