The ground opened and "swallowed" a garbage truck of the Municipality this morning with the driver being surprised on Korytsas Street in Kastoria, when he saw the vehicle sinking into a huge puddle created on the road.
According to ertnews.gr, as passers-by reported, "the road suddenly sank, resulting in the immobilization of the garbage truck".
There were no injuries. According to the information, there were no injuries from the incident. The police, the crews of DEYA rushed to the spot. Kastoria and the municipality, where with the help of an excavator they managed to pull the garbage truck out of the hole.
The hole created was 1 meter deep and 3 meters wide.
