The story of a blind dog who was found wandering alone in a village of Naoussa and has now found her own home after an incredible adventure, gives a strong message of true love, solidarity and strength.

Although blind, she decided one day to leave the place of hosting stray animals in an area outside Naoussa and following her instinct and her love for Dimitris Sidiropoulos ended up at his house again.

The beginning of a strong bond

It all started a few months ago in the village of Hariessa where one day Dimitris Sidiropoulos, the president of the village, spotted a small dog, about 2 years old, wandering alone on his property, looking for a few moments of play. She realized, in fact, that her eyes were white and she could not see. Thinking that he might be looking for food, he decided to feed her. "After I fed her, she stayed in the field so I went the next day and fed her again. So one day, he found himself outside my house without realizing exactly how he arrived. Possibly from the smell ", he stated characteristically to ThessToday.gr.

As expected, he held her temporarily and continued to care for her daily until a solution was found as to where she would be transferred. "I contacted my colleague from the animal welfare center of Naoussa, from which we have support regarding the homeless. "We did the necessary vaccinations and he stayed with me for about a month, then he was transferred to the temporary shelter for the homeless in the Municipality of Naoussa, which is outside the area and is 10 kilometers away from my house," he said.

Love drove again… to the president's house

One month at Mr. Sidiropoulos's place was enough to develop a strong bond of love and companionship with the dog. Surprisingly, one rainy day he spotted her outside his home tormented, full of mud and blood. She managed, as she claimed, in a "magical" way to open the barbed wire of the hospitality area and to reach his home after a few days, following her instinct.

"I knew she was gone alone for about a week. I asked every day what the dog was doing and one day the manager told me that he had left and after five days he showed up at my house. He struggled for days to get here as it is a long distance. I do not hide that I cried when I saw her. Although blind he managed to be near me. I characteristically said your fate and my fate is to be together. "I decided to keep her and become the 16th member of my dog family," the president explained excitedly.
